If you find yourself in a position where you are going to regularly be tested for drugs, the odds are pretty good that the type of testing that will be done is urine drug testing. Testing urine for drugs is painless, inexpensive, and easy to do. There are several drug testing companies all over the world that specialize in urine drug testing and can come to workplaces to test an entire work force for illicit drugs.

Although there are times when the court will insist that the collection of the urine needs to be witnessed, in most cases it is not necessary. When the urine is tested right away, the testing facility will take ad record the temperature of the urine. The acceptable temperature of the urine is considered to be between 96—99 degrees. If the temperature is at all off, the testing facility will assume that you are trying to use a false sample and will immediately insist that you redo the test. Before you have to appear for your urine test, it is very important that you make sure you have created a list of any prescription drugs you are currently taking.
There are some additives that can be used that could help you create a pure sample if you have recently indulged in recreational drug use. Use of these additives is strongly discouraged. Not only can tests be done to confirm the presence of the additives, but many states have also passed legislation that states that the use of additives to interfere with a drug tests is a felony and you could wind up in more trouble than you would have gotten into for a positive drug test.
Urine drug testing is becoming increasingly common, particularly with employers who are screening job applicants. You should expect to have to be tested at least once for drug use during the course of your lifetime.
